Pittsburgh HQ

Long before 1998, the year Becky formally joined us, VFG senior management had already decided Becky would be a perfect fit for our team. Prior to joining VFG, Becky spent 5 years working in the commercial banking industry in Pittsburgh. During Becky's "banker years," part of her responsibilities included servicing and managing the bank's relationship with the "one and only" Vision Financial!

We like to joke that Becky never received a traditional interview. (The truth of the matter is that Becky was being interviewed for years while she was working at the bank.) One thing led to another, and Becky dropped a few "hints" that she was looking to leave banking - and the rest is VFG history.

Becky's skills set combine the best of customer relationship management along with a "can-do" attitude to exceed customer expectations. We are reminded daily of Becky's abilities to plan, implement, manage, and adapt to change. Becky is one of 3 internal operations team leaders. Not only does Becky excel at the operations side of the equipment leasing & finance business, she excels at the sales and marketing side of the business as well. She manages many of VFG's marketing programs, including trade show logistics. Several long-term customers do business with Vision Financial because of their relationship with and trust in Becky.

Becky's take on why she loves her job is as follows: "I have met many of my best friends as a result of representing Vision. I love my job. Every day is different... the best and most rewarding aspects are going to trade shows and simple day to day interaction with customers and vendors who eventually become friends. Customers I deal with know that I am listening to them and will fight for them. I care that their needs are met in a timely manner. I want to help our customers be successful."

Becky prides herself on being available for the customer. "If I'm needed to be available for documentation to be signed during off-business hours, I make myself available."

Becky is very active in the professional associations to which Vision belongs.  She has served as the Treasurer for the Pittsburgh section of the American Society of Non-Destructive Testing (ASNT) and is currently the President of the Young Gassers Association, a leadership group which serves the National Propane Gas Association (NPGA) membership.

She likes the close-knit, professional atmosphere at VFG. "I've worked in the banking industry and have felt like I was just a number. The flexibility and creativeness that VFG offers through leasing had me at day one. It is extremely satisfying to be able to help provide customers with accounting and tax benefits while we are also providing cash flow relief. Here, I'm part of a family. I never had this feeling working elsewhere."

Outside of the office, Becky's loves are her dogs (Reilly & Ludo). "My furry four-legged boys keep me as sane as I possibly can be." She is die-hard fan when it comes to rooting for the home teams. In Becky's words, "Tailgating and pulling for the Steelers, Penguins, Pirates and Pitt Panthers makes me a very happy girl!"

Becky has a huge extended family who she is very close with. Organizing family vacations for 40+ people is not unheard of.

Whether it means sitting down to a hearty meal and cold drinks, camping and fishing, jamming at the Jimmy Buffet concert, riding horses, or chilling at the beach (with those big frozen drinks with the tiny umbrellas), time with friends and family is cherished by our red-haired Irish-Polish American maiden.

Becky supports the Grant Channell Memorial, which helps raise funds for Melanoma cancer research. Becky is also a veteran volunteer for the Greater Pittsburgh Food Bank's annual fund raising event. Anonymous sources at the Pittsburgh Food Bank tell us that she excels at selling raffle tickets and "any other items that she doesn't have to cook herself."

Becky serves as the Treasurer and handles a significant amount of the administrative work for the Patrick Huskey Memorial Golf Outing, which helps raise funds for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

Other charities that are near and dear to Becky's heart are Good Samaritan Hospice of Pittsburgh, Animal Friends (no kill animal shelter), The Institute for Transfusion Medicine, Public TV, Pittsburgh Glass Center and the Central Blood Bank. Becky has also donated time to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society as well as Bethlehem Haven women's homeless shelter.
